DWANSL, we are dedicated to championing the rights and well-being of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women and Girls in Sierra Leone. Established in September 2020 by three passionate young women with hearing impairments, our organization strives to foster development, unity, awareness, and advocacy for the challenges faced by our community.

DWANSL envisions a barrier-free society in Sierra Leone where all Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women and Young Girls are accepted, respected, and included in every aspect of life. We are committed to creating opportunities that enable them to recognize and utilize their potentials, leading to meaningful, productive, and dignified lives.
Our mission
Our mission is to protect and promote equality, empowering Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women and Young Girls in Sierra Leone through advocacy and lobbying for services that enhance educational, economic, social, and cultural opportunities. We strive to create an environment that enables them to lead productive and dignified lives.
